Disregard Exco Sack, Directives Not From Suntai– Acting Governor

The acting governor of Taraba state, Alhaji Garba Umar has broken his silence on the  political developments in Taraba state, since the return of the governor, Danbaba Suntai from his medical treatment abroad, saying that the Nigerians should ignore the recent announcement that the executive council plus the Chief of Staff has been relieved of their duties, likewise the appointment of a new Chief of Staff, which was attributed to Governor Suntai.
He claimed that the announcement is a mere attempt by a ‘cabal’ to hijack the machineries of governance in the state and not a directive from Governor Danbaba Suntai”
In a statement released by the press secretary of the Acting Governor, Kefas Sule this evening, the governor said effort are presently on to resolve the on-going misunderstandings since the return of the governor.
Alhaji Garba added that all financial institutions that transact with the state government accounts should honour all financial transactions with the due verification of signatures of the governor and the acting governor respectively.
He went on to commend the high sense of patriotism and brotherly manner people of the state are handling the current political development in the state.
The statement says “at moment like this it calls for greater restraint and vigilance hence Bankers of the Taraba state government are reminded to ensure that all financial instructions relating to state government account should be honoured only if they are done within the provision of law”
Such transactions the statement says must contained verifiable signature of Governor Danbaba Suntai and the acting governor of the state Alhaji Garba Umar.
