Court Vacates Suspension Of Andy Ubah, Four Others

A Federal High Court in Abuja has vacated the suspension of the factional aspirant of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, Senator Andy Ubah and four others by the Peoples’ Democratic Party.
Justice Ahmed Mohammed who set aside the suspension also gave an interim order restraining the Peoples’ Democratic Party from suspending Senator Ubah and four other factional members of the party.
It also suspended any decision taken by the disciplinary committee set up by the Peoples’ Democratic Party from taking any further decision that will affect the membership status of the Peoples’ Democratic Party pending the hearing of the suit filed by Mr Chris Ubah, on the 5th of September 2013.
Justice Ahmed Mohammed also ordered the Peoples’ Democratic Party to appear before it on the 5th of September to show cause as to why the motion for expert e order filed by Mr Chris Uba, Senator Andy Ubah, Benji Udeozor, Ejike oguebego and Anthonia Nwankwu should not be granted by the court.
The Peoples’ Democratic Party had on the 29th of august 2013 suspended the five factional members of the party for failing to appear before its disciplinary committee to explain why it organized a separate primary for the Anambra state governorship election.
