Second Term: ACN Chief Backs Afenifere On Aregbesola

RAUF 2014
2014: Ogbeni Endorsed
A woman leader of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), Mrs. Margaret Apoeso, has backed the decision of the Afenifere Renewal Group in the State of Osun, which has adopted Governor Rauf Aregbesola for a second term.
Speaking with OSUN DEFENDER recently, Mrs. Apoeso urged citizens and residents of the state to vote Aregbesola for a second term as a result of the giant strides of the governor, especially the numerous ongoing construction and rehabilitation of roads in all the council areas in the state.
Apoeso also hailed the government’s initiative of providing computer tablets to pupils of public secondary schools in the state, adding that even in advanced countries; computers are not given out free to students.
“The State of Osun stands to gain a lot from good governance, should Governor Aregbesola be returned for a second term in office. We have seen what he has done in less than four years. Don’t forget that some people occupied that position for close to eight years, with nothing to show for it. A vote for Aregbesola and the ACN is for development, better education, continuity and secured future for the people of the state, who deserve nothing less than this”, the ACN chieftain said.
Apoeso also hailed the Senator from Ife/Ilesha senatorial zone, Senator Jide Omoworare, for his empowerment programmes. She listed some of these to include the distribution of money to unemployed people to start their own businesses, free summer schools for students during holidays, the refurbishment of the Owa Adimula’s Palace in Ilesa, as well as the building of Primary Health Centre in Ile-Ife.
She therefore advised the people of the state not to allow desperate politicians, who do not have the people’s interest at heart back in government, adding that such politicians’ antecedents show that they want to grab power, so as to plunder the economy of the state again.
