Breaking News: Wenger bans Arsenal stars from joining Manchester United

ARSENEArsène Wenger has banned Arsenal players from signing for English Premiership champions Manchester United and vowed that he will not allow Sir Alex Ferguson to sign any more players from Arsenal.
Wenger, who is fondly called Professor by his admirers, made the decision after his former captain Robin Van Persie, who left for United at the beginning of the season, helped them to get a draw at the Emirates yesterday even when Arsenal needed to win to brighten their chances of qualifying for next season’s European Champions League.
Even though United had already won the Premiership largely with Van Persie’s goals, the Dutch marksman kept his nerves despite booing from Arsenal fans to scored a penalty that denied Arsenal two precious points, thus making the Gunners’ job in the race for Champions League football more difficult.
To add salt to injury, Van Persie and the rest of the Manchester United team had to be given a guard of honour at the Emirates since they were visiting as champions – having won the title with four more games to go.
“We are in a position where we cannot drop points, we know that, but the other teams are in the same position,” said Wenger. “If we win our games it will be enough and I’m convinced we will be there.”
Wenger, who controversially sold Van Persie to United for £24 million then made it clear that he would not allow other Arsenal players to follow. Asked if Ferguson wanted any more of his players, the Frenchman replied: “I don’t know but he will not sign them from us.”
