The Police waxed tiredly yesterday at the rising wave of terrorism and armed robbery attacks across the country with Mohammed Abubakar, inspector general of Police saying he receives about 1, 000 calls daily on the dangerous state of the nation.
Abubakar, stated this at the grand finale of the 2013 Police Week celebration in Abuja.

Meanwhile, the federal government said that it would procure helicopters for the 36 states police commands to strengthen the aerial power of the police.
President Goodluck Jonathan said this at the event where he also launched seven new helicopters and 293 security vehicles for the force.
“We must invest in airpower for the Nigeria Police. “My vision is to create a robust and efficient Police Force well motivated to discharge their constitutional obligations without fear or favour.” He said
