Governor Okorocha of Imo dissolves cabinet, sacks all political appointees

The Secretary to the State Government made the announcement.
Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo has dissolved his cabinet and sacked all his special advisers, senior special assistants and special assistants.
The Secretary to the State Government, Professor Anthony Anwuka, said in a statement in Owerri on Wednesday that the sack was “with immediate effect”.
The statement directed all the commissioners to hand over to the permanent secretaries of their respective ministries while the special advisers are to hand over to his office.
The statement said the other appointees should hand over to the Chief of Staff, Eze Madumere.
It added that all hand over formalities must be completed on or before Friday.
Meanwhile, all the permanent secretaries in the state have been directed to attend a meeting with the governor on Thursday at the Government House, Owerri.
