The Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) has denoted three 18 seater buses to Ethiope-West, Okpe and Sapele Local Government Areas, Host Communities’ Oil and Gas in its drive to fulfill its responsibilities to their mandate areas, as Mr. Oritsuwa Kpogho Chairman DESOPADEC enjoins youths to remain peaceful with contractors.
Mr. Oritsuwa Kpogho who was represented at the commissioning ceremony by his Secretary Mr. Ede Oghoro, said it is only when youths are peaceful can quality jobs be executed in any community.

zonal office in Okuokoko in Okpe Local Government Area said the presentation of the buses to the Host Communities became necessary as his board recognized Host Communities as a key partner in realizing
their cardinal objectives.
He explained that during the inauguration of the present board, His Excellency Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan directed the board to adopt bottom-top approach in the execution of its programme, pointing
out that, the day’s event was one of the numerous benefits of the Excellency directive.
Dr. Ofa added that about 6 months ago, under the leadership of Oritsuwa Kpogho, the board has awarded 475 projects contracts presently being executed across their mandate areas in the state while appealing to host communities to extend their usual cooperation to the contractors without prejudice to the quality of job been executed.
The commissioner warned that the commission will not hesitate to relocate contract if communities proved difficult, stressing that communities which are yet to benefit from these awards would beMr. Oritsuwa Kpogho who was represented at the commissioning ceremony by his Secretary Mr. Ede Oghoro, said it is only when youths are peaceful can quality jobs be executed in any community.

He appreciated the governor for giving them the privilege to serve the people and the enabling
environment for improved perform once of the board as well as the prompt release of funds for them to execute people’s oriented programmes.
Dr. Ofa also thanked the speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Victor Ochei and other members of the house for their fatherly support to the growth and achievement of the
commission.
Responding, Chief Alfred Bubor, National Chairman Host Com thanked the commission for the three buses given to the three local government assuring that they members of Host communities will do all it takes to give maximum support to DESOPADEC to enable them achieve their mandate given to them by his Excellency the Governor of Delta State Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan.
Also, responding, Chief Femi Agbokoko, Chairman Host Com. Ethiope -West thank the commission and Dr. Henry Ofa for the wonderful gesture, expressing great delight with the commission for living up to
expectations, especially this new board headed by Mr. Oritsuwa Kpogho, promising that they members of Host Com will give them maximum support for them (DESOPADEC) to actualize their dreams by delivering the dividends of democracy to the entire people.
Chief Agbokoko also commended the effort of Chief Alfred Bubor for the immense role he played during their struggle in the early days of Host com formation when they fought for 13 percent derivation
funds, which led to the creation of DESOPADEC, while thanking the Commissioners in DESOPADEC, the staff and the Chairman for the successes of the commission so far.
High point of the event was the commissioning of the three buses by the Chairman, Mr. Oritsuwa Kpogho ably represented by the secretary of the board Mr. Ede Oghoro.
