Cole urges Carroll to make West Ham move

West Ham midfielder Joe Cole believes Andy Carroll’s career will be boosted if he signs a permanent deal at Upton Park.
Carroll scored seven goals in 26 games in his loan spell at the club last season, and impressed fans with a string of impressive performances.
A fee, thought to be in the region of 15 million pounds, has been agreed with parent club Liverpool, but Carroll is understood to be considering the possibility of staying at Anfield to try and nail down a regular first-team spot.
But Cole feels the 24-year-old England international would benefit from the promise of regular opportunities at West Ham.
“We play to suit him, we play around him,” Cole told talkSPORT.
“We try to get good quality balls into the box for him and that is going to be valuable. If I was him, I would be wanting to stay at West Ham.
“The lads love him and the fans have taken to him. If he keeps himself fit he can get 20-30 goals next season and really kick on.”
Cole speaks from experience, having left Liverpool himself to re-join the club where he started his career in January.
He has endured a stop-start return to life at the London club, with several injury problems limiting his first-team opportunities.
But the 31-year-old is targeting a stronger showing next season.
