Police uncover kidnappers’ den in Ogun

The Police in Ogun State on Sunday arrested three suspected ritualists in an underground dungeon located in  Idode-Imomo, in Ijebu North East Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The ritualists’ den, our correspondent learnt, was located between Ijebu-Ode and Atan, and close to the border area between Oyo,Ogun and Ondo states.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, disclosed this on Sunday in Abeokuta.
Adejobi, an Assistant Superintendent of Police added that the command had already launched an investigation into the matter.
He said that the suspected ritualists, Kehinde Rufai, Debo Awonaya and another simply identified as David had been detained by the police.
A resident of the area, who pleaded anonymity, however, said that some youths in the community discovered the ritualists’ dungeon in a forest after a 70-year old man, Kehinde Rabiu, was declared missing.
The resident said that other inhabitants of the area were shocked when they saw the dungeon, which has a flight of stairs underneath.
