Adamawa PDP To Jonathan: Watch Your Back

Indications emerged, yesterday, that the fate of President Goodluck Jonathan in the 2015 elections might be hanging in the balance as a group in the Adamawa State chapter of the party has cautioned the president to watch his back. This political back stabbing by some enemies within the party who might want to take advantage of the Adamawa PDP crisis to plot his downfall.
The group, Adamawa Democratic Congress (ADC), in a statement signed by its chairman, Engr. Yusuf Garba, cautioned the president to be wary of some party chieftains who surrepticiously are opposed to his government and were being deployed in the ongoing battle against the state government to pull him down.
Garba, in the statement, drew Jonathan’s attention to what he described as the political web being laid on his path by the nest of political assassins, and said sooner than later, Mr. President would discover who the real devil behind the crisis were.
The group allegedly blamed the national leadership of the party for allegedly using Jonathan”s enemies to wage war against Adamawa state government, adding that “Governor Murtala Nyako and President Goodluck Jonathan are the likely victims of this ominous and cancerous brawl”.
Specifically, the group accused the PDP National Chairman, Dr. Bamanga Tukur, of using Umar Ardo, the former Special Adviser, to erstwhile Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Senator Shade Bent against Governor Nyako.
The statement reads in part: “Coincidentally and very complex is the avowed loyalty of the duo to the National Chairman of the PDP, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur. Naturally, and in good sense of politicking, the National Chairman of the ruling party should be working in tandem with the objectives, focus and thrust of the manifesto of the party as being championed by the national leader of the party-the President and Commander-in-Chief, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan.
“But how plausible is it now that the National Chairman of the PDP who works hand in glove with Alhaji Umar Ardo and Senator Shade Bent, who in turn, are avowed friends of Temipre Sylva, could be Mr. President’s men?
