Gov Suntai In Stable Condition — Acting Gov

The acting Governor of Taraba State, Alhaji Garba Umar, has assured the people of Taraba that his boss is in a stable condition.
Garba who disclosed this yesterday in Government House  Jalingo during a press briefing added that Suntai was still on his hospital bed.
He noted that his administration and that of his boss were one and would continue the business of governance from where his boss stopped before his involvement in plane crash.
According to Umar, his administration had recently approved the payment of local contractors stressing that until the contracts in place were finished, government would not award new contracts.
He said, “It is one administration, there is no difference between Suntai’s administration and mine”.
Umar also disclosed that he has received letters of commendations from the State House of Assembly and the National Headquarters of the People Democratic Party (PDP).
The acting Governor who is 65 years noted that he was still able to carry on his daily duties effectively because he had a free mind.
“If you have a free mind, age does not matter,” he added.
He stressed that the state commissioner of information, Mr Emmanuel Bello would soon visit Suntai in Germany so that he may arrange with the doctors to organise a teleconference between the Governor and Tarabians.
