Come Saturday, November 1, showbiz personalities will rally around one of their own, Lamboginny, as he stages a one million-man march against drug abuse and trafficking. The event being organised in conjunction with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency is aimed at creating awareness on the dangers of drug abuse and the trafficking among Nigerian youths.
According to the initiator, Olayinka Lawanson, popularly called Lamboginny, the march will kick off from the Obalende LCDA in Eti-Osa Local Government area and terminate at Tinubu Square, Lagos Island.
On the idea behind the march, the dancehall artiste adds, “The essence of bringing key actors, musicians and comedians to campaign against drug abuse is part of a reformation philosophy that tilts towards using popular faces that command a large following to bring the gospel of truth about the dangers of illicit drugs to Nigerians.
The event, which will also feature talks by notable entertainers, Ali Baba, Joke Silva, Osita Iheme, Dj Jimmy Jatt, Yaw, Kaffy, Owen Gee , Gabriel Afolayan, will be transmitted live on Google.
