A member of the Kaduna House of Assembly, Kantiok Irimiya, on Friday advised the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to resolve its internal crisis for the purpose of national development.
Irimiya, member representing Zonkwa (PDP) said in Kaduna that the urgent resolution of the crisis would help in moving the country forward.
He advised the parties involved in the crisis to settle their differences by embracing dialogue and reconciliation in the best interest of the party and the country as a whole.
``The supposed crisis in PDP is because of little misunderstanding, and we have only one PDP registered with INEC led by Bamanga Tukur, even the court had recognised him,'' he said.
According to him, the crisis within the PDP is a family misunderstanding and will be resolved very soon.
Irimiya lauded the independent electoral commission (INEC) on its handling of elections, urging it to do more in tackling the few challenges identified in the previous elections.

``INEC is going to conduct a free and fair election because the President had assured everybody, in fact, the last election was one man, one vote," said Irimiya.
Irimiya noted that the Federal Government is absolutely doing well in fighting corruption and it is willing to curb corruption to the barest minimum.
On corruption in the aviation sector, the lawmaker said it was a mere allegation that is being investigated by the House of Representative and the Presidency, and urged Nigerians to await the outcome of the probe.
He urged the Government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to shift ground for the quick resolution of the protracted strike in the interest of the nation.
``This issue should be resolve amicably in the interest of the nation’s education system,'' he said.
