In line with the directive, the Commandant of NSCDC, Ogun State, Aboluwoye Akinwande, made a facility tour to Olorunsogo Power Plant and some other PHCN facilities located around the state.
Mr Aboluwoye, who was received by the top management of Olorunsogo Power Plant led by the Assistant General Manager, Production, Tijani Ibrahim, said, he was there to assess the security situation on ground and to know whether there were other related challenges that needed urgent attention.
He acknowledged the sensitive nature of the facilities, the enormous resources committed to it, and the need to beef up security.
“The facilities are important for the socio-economic development and survival of our nation, as such, we cannot afford for it to be tampered with by some unscrupulous elements,” Mr. Aboluwoye said.
Responding on behalf of management of the power plant, Mr. Tijani, appreciated the visit and commended the Commandant for the high level of professionalism displayed by the NSCDC officers deployed to the plant.
