OCTOBER 10, 2013 -
General Evangelist of the Christ Apostolic Church, Prophet Samuel Abiara has urged leaders in the country to protect the interest of the masses in their endeavours.
He explained that most leaders in the country do not have the love of the masses at heart, saying that was one of the reasons for the challenges facing the country.
Abiara said this Wednesday during CAC’s three-day programme holding in Joseph Ayo Babalola International Miracle Camp, Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun State.
He said: “You don’t need a soothsayer to tell you that Nigeria is sick. We are sick in all areas. There are unjust killings of people, deaths and I must tell you that people are hungry. Our leaders are busy fighting themselves instead of coming together to make Nigeria better.
“Many of our leaders don’t have time for the common man. There is a need for us to begin to ensure that the common man does not continue to suffer. We need to pray for this nation because this nation is sick. Government is sick, if anybody says government is not sick, it is a lie. This nation needs prayer.”
While dismissing pastors who claimed to have visited heaven and return, Abiara warned unrecognised churches and people to stop parading themselves as members of the CAC church.
He added: “For those pastors who claim to be part of us and have given the church a bad name. The Bible has not left us in darkness. The Bible says in the last day there will be evil people who will corrupt the faith. For us as a church I believe the authority is doing something to arrest the drift. Soon, you will see us take action on people like that.
“I don’t know about those who went to heaven and came back but the Bible is clear about those who will not make heaven. So, those who claim to have gone to heaven and come back are on their own.”
