Rid Nigeria of Troublesome Immigrants, Jang Tasks New Immigration C-G

Gov. Jonah Jang of Plateau
Gov. Jonah Jang of Plateau on Friday tasked the Comptroller-General, Nigeria Immigration Service to flush out all troublesome immigrants toward restoring peace in Nigeria.
Jang spoke while receiving the new Immigration C-G, Mr. David Paradang, who paid him a courtesy call in his office in Jos. ``The crises facing the country are mostly attributed to the activities of some unwanted immigrants; most especially here in Plateau.
``Those troublesome immigrants have offered themselves as ready-tools to foment trouble; it is your job to ensure that such people are identified and done away with. ``Here in Plateau, we see human beings that we know they are not part of us, they are not even Nigerians; they are the ones causing trouble for us, `` he said.
According to him, plateau is not a border state, yet those kind of people find their way into the state. He urged the new Immigration boss to do everything possible for the sake of the desired peace Nigeria and Nigerians needed for growth and development as a nation.
Earlier, Paradang had said that he would do his best to ensure that all unwanted immigrants were shown their ways out of the country. ``We shall do our best to ensure that we restore the peace to the nation, by first identifying those threatening our peace and flushing them out.
``We are going to do our best to flush out these enemies of progress, now that we know that they are ready-tools for some people to destabilise our country, `` he said. He pledged to partner with the Plateau Government in its struggle to restore permanent peace in the state.
