Moses, Torres inspire kids at Samsung Dream the Blues campaign

Victor Moses
Chelsea players and Dream the Blues ambassadors, Victor Moses, Fernando Torres, Oscar, and Juan Mata held training and mentoring sessions with the 14 football-loving children during the grand finale of the Samsung Dream the Blues Campaign in London from May 14 to 20.
The Samsung Dream the Blues campaign is a corporate social responsibility initiative aimed at supporting and motivating youths to discover and expand their potential through football.
Nigeria was represented by nine-year old Jeb Mallam from the SOS Village, Abuja and 13-year-old Moses Magnut from Compassionate Home Orphanages, Lagos. Twelve others were drawn from Brazil, China, Ghana, Mexico, South Africa, and Thailand.
Speaking during the encounter, Torres said, “It is wonderful to have the chance to play with the kids. I think the chances that Samsung and Chelsea Football Club give to them are huge. I wish I had this chance when I was a kid.”
The culmination of the Dream the Blues campaign was loaded with excitement and inspiration. It started with an opening dinner where the kids flew their national flags and met Chelsea Football Club Foundation coaches; Steve Winnet and Oliver Woodall. They took part in bonding exercises and try-out of football stunts. They also trained at the same facility where Chelsea stars train and were taken on an exclusive tour of Stamford Bridge. In addition, they watched as Chelsea won the UEFA Europa League.
Moses Magnut said excitedly, “My life has changed forever. I know now, for sure that all my dreams can come true. I will never forget this moment”.
