A lot can be done with gospel music –Akinsulie

Akinsulie
Gospel singer, Olayinka Akinsulie, has spent over two decades in the Nigerian gospel music scene. The artiste, who spoke to Saturday Beats recently, said a lot could be done with gospel music which is usually more meaningful.
The singer who just released an album, Essence, told Saturday Beats that he as a child, music fascinated him.
“I have been a gospel singer for 26 years. I became fascinated with music as a kid and felt certain that I was born for it. I began making gospel music professionally, having passed through the choir. I have had the privileged role of Assistant Music Director in House On The Rock, The Refuge, Abuja.
“My album is loaded and it will get you past God’s gate into his courts with exuberant praise session and will ultimately land you in the Holy of Holies with a deep worship session. I believe gospel artistes in Nigeria should be celebrated and appreciated more, with good numbers of corporate bodies recognising them as professionals. This will encourage them to maximise their potential and do all to God’s glory,” he said.
