Taraba Plans TV Crew Visit To Gov Suntai In Germany
Barring any last minute change of its position, the Taraba State government would within a few days take a television crew to Germany to see the ailing Governor Danfulani Danbaba Suntai.
The Commissioner for information, Mr. Emmanuel Bello, disclosed this yesterday during a live television programme, Sunrise on Channels Television, which was monitored in Abuja.
Although the decision was spontaneously taken, after a caller had alleged of a deliberate scheme of misinforming Taraba people and Nigerians on the true state of the governor’s health, the duo hosts of the breakfast TV show thereafter challenged the commissioner on the authenticity of Suntai’s photos released last December 2012.
Bello, who said he was on his way to Germany, reiterated that the state would not go outside the confines of the law to convince the people that the governor was doing well, adding that “it is just a matter of time that he will be back in Nigeria to resume office.”
Also in an apparent veiled reference to similar situations in Enugu and Cross River states, Bello said “we are the best state government in Nigeria today who took it upon ourselves to make full disclosure on our governor compared to other states.
