Swedish club Osters IF have signed Nigeria U20 striker Alhaji Gero on a contract to run for three and a half years.
The deal was brokered by football agent Goke Oshatoba in collaboration with the player’s agent Adam Mohammed.
“It’s a great start for a very promising player and everybody is happy with the deal,” said Oshotoba.
“All the personal terms of the player have been agreed on and his work permit will come through next week.”
Osters have won the Swedish league four times with their last triumph in 1981.
They are back in the Swedish top flight this season after they dominated the lower league last year.
Gero sparked off interest in the Netherlands, Libya, Tunisia and Saudi Arabia.
Big striker Gero featured at the recent FIFA U20 World Cup in Turkey and has also been capped by Nigeria at ‘B’ level.
He has been at Enugu Rangers on loan.
