Oyinlola risks suspension – Osun PDP

The Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party on Thursday disclosed that it has commenced the process to discipline the former National Secretary of the party, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, in line with the constitution of the party.

OYINLOLAThe party declared that Oyinlola, who was a former governor of the state, had erred and contravened the constitution of the party by teaming up with some other members of the party to form a parallel group.
Oyinlola alongside seven serving governors elected on the platform of the PDP and former Vice President Atiku Abubabar had weekend announced the formation of a new PDP, following a misunderstanding that ensued with the National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Bamangar Tukur, at the Special National Convention of the party.
The PDP in Osun state at the end of its stakeholders meeting held at the party secretariat in Osogbo, declared that it has commenced the process to discipline Oyinlola for his alleged involvement in what it described as anti-party activity.
The former Deputy National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Shuaib Oyedokun, who addressed newsmen at the end of the meeting, said the party would ensure that the former governor was disciplined for contravening the constitution of the party.
