Mystery As Man, 30, Disappears From Bank
Efforts to find a 30-year-old man, Mr. Mohammed Aliyu, a graduate of Agricultural Technology Yola (FUTY) have been futile.
Two weeks after Aliyu was dropped at the bank by his aunt, Mrs. Onyioza Dahiru, family members have not been able to ascertain his whereabouts.

Aliyu, who is also a masters degree holder in information management systems from the London South Bank University, UK, was dropped at the front of a new generation bank along Ahmadu Bello Way, Garki 11, Abuja on February 19, 2013 where he wanted to draw cash from the Automated Teller Machine (ATM).
Narrating her ordeal to our reporter, Mrs. Dahiru said that she dropped off her nephew at the bank and went about her own business in town and when she was through she called Aliyu to find out if he was done with his transaction at the bank so that she could pick him up.
According to her, her nephew told her his account had been blocked and he was going inside the bank to make an inquiry. She noted he came out of the bank to give her the house keys and went back inside.
She further narrated that she remembered she had not given him money for transport so she decided to call him back but this time there was no response. About 5pm when she had not seen or heard from him, she decided to call him again, but there was still no answer.
“I informed my husband and he told me to be patient. At 10pm my husband Engr. Dahiru Isyaku went to the bank to find out what happened, but the bank had closed which prompted him to visit the Garki Police station to find out if he was arrested but he was not there.”
The business manager of the bank however confirmed to the family the next day that Mohammed Aliyu was in the bank the previous day and his account was blocked from their head office. He also informed them that their compliant unit had invited the State Security Service (SSS) who arrested Aliyu from the bank. The bank could not give further explanation on why the young man was arrested.
Mrs Dahiru said every effort to locate Mr. Aliyu has been fruitless as the bank and the SSS have been tossing the family about.
