Ewherido gives out 21 cars and cash to constituents

In keeping to his promise of youth empowerment within the Delta Central Senatorial District, the Senator representing the area, Senator Pius Ewherido  gave out 21 cars and cash to youths in the area, towards empowering and making them self sufficient.

In keeping to his promise of youth empowerment within the Delta Central Senatorial District, the Senator representing the area, Senator Pius Ewherido on Tuesday gave out 21 cars and cash to youths in the area, towards empowering and making them self sufficient.
Briefing the beneficiaries, the Democratic Peoples Party (DPP) Delta Central chairman, Chief Henery Olori said the exercise is in continuation of the Senator Pius Ewherido empowerment scheme in fulfillment of his electioneer promises towards rewarding the electorates.
According to Chief Olori, as against the current 21 cars being given out in the first batch, the extra making it a total of 35, would be given in the second batch.
On the modalities of picking the beneficiaries, Chief Olori said, “there was no lobbying in the process, as it was open to all, this was done so as to disabuse the mindset of the people.
On his part, a chieftain of the party, Chief Adelabu Bodjor while commending the efforts of Senator Ewherido said, the Urhobo nation had never gotten it this good, he had given out cars before now and even scholarships to students in other senatorial districts.
“This is just the beginning with more things to come, because the empowerment programmer is a continuous process,” he added.
One of the beneficiaries, Mr. Okeh Atenene popularly known as “Man-United”, who is the Senatorial Liaison Officer to the senator representing Okpe constituency, described his benefiting from the scheme as a dream come true.
“To be honest, I do not know how to describe it as I have been witnessing it while rejoicing with others but I never knew mine is soon to come, as you can see, this is a reflection of good things from the senator,” he said.
The cars given out includes, 17 Gulf and 4 Camry cars.
A female was among the beneficiaries as well as the media aide to Senator Ewherido, Mr. Justice Iyasere.
