APGA crisis: Ojukwu’s son carpets Obi, others

Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi
Son of the late leader of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, Chief Emeka Ojukwu, has accused Governor Peter Obi and factional National Chairman of the party, Chief Maxi Okwu, of creating the crisis in the party for selfish ends.
Ojukwu, who spoke with some reporters in Awka on Friday, also said last Saturday’s memorial rally held in honour of his father, Chief Emeka Ojukwu, by Obi was politically motivated and therefore  of no consequence.
Commenting on the crisis in APGA, he said, “It is a manufactured crisis. Yes, there is a clash of personality, clash of ideals, a disagreement on which governorship candidates to endorse etc.
“However, the issues are being camouflaged and we are being presented this manufactured crisis of leadership as the bone of contention. If there was agreement on the real issues at hand, nobody would be talking about an APGA leadership crisis.
“Set aside the personalities involved and ask yourselves; Where are they planning to lead us to? What direction, that is, do they want to take us to? In truth, who represents the ideals upon which the party was founded? Whose agenda is who  is running? If you answer these questions to yourselves honestly, your choice would  have been made.”
Ojukwu, who  was recently appointed a member of Chief Victor Umeh’s faction Board of Trustees of APGA described the Enugu Court judgement that sacked Umeh as suspect.
