The Sovereign Wealth Fund, oil theft and continued deductions from excess crude account are expected to dominate discussions at the summit of the governors from the 36 states of the federation, holding on Tuesday.
According to unconfirmed reports, the meeting will be holding at the Rivers State Governor' Lodge in Abuja.
According to the Director General of the Nigeria Governors' Forum, Bayo Okuaro, who confirmed the meeting, said that all the 36 state governors have been invited to the meeting that is expected to hold Tuesday with the following agenda - Fresh & subsisting litigations; update on Federation Allocation Accounts Committee, Excess Crude Account and the Sovereign Wealth Fund.
Okuaro said other items on the agenda of the meeting, include, publication of inaugural speeches, capacity building, investment conferences in the US and Russia.
The meeting is likely to discuss oil theft and polio eradication as well as an update on 2013 Immunization Leadership Challenge.
The meeting is further expected to discuss how to move the NGF forward on issues like post election disagreements.
However, in the wake of the current crisis rocking both the PDP and NGF, what is not clear is whether all the governors will attend although Okuaru insisted that all the governors indicated that they would be attending when they received their invitations.
Since the May 24 NGF election this year, the body has been polarized into two camps with some supporting Governor Rotimi Amaechi and others backing Jonah Jang.
Amaechi at the election of May 24 defeated his colleague with 19 to 16 votes.
