Madumere Sworn In As Okorocha Says It’s Reward For Humility And Selfless Service

Prince Eze Madumere MFR, the immediate past Chief of Staff to Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha OON was around 10:45 am today, March 30, 2013, sworn in as the 6th Deputy Governor of Imo State by the Chief Justice of Imo State, Justice Benjamin Njemanze.
In his speech after oath of office, the Imo new Deputy Governor reading in parts; “Circumstances have made me today a Deputy Governor of Imo State.
To God be the glory. I was comfortable with my job as Chief of Staff to the Governor, which kept me in close contact and relationship with His Excellency, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, OON, who for long has been my remained my mentor and leader. …Here I am standing before you, taking an oath as the Deputy Governor of Imo State.”
Imo Deputy Governor further assured that his task as the Deputy Governor of Imo State will be easy because he is an apostle of Rescue Mission Government. He promised to remain focused and committed to the doctrines of Rescue Mission Government led by Owelle Rochas Okorocha while abiding to the Rochanomics leadership principle.
He said he will remain a humble servant as he knows the dangers of power and its transitory nature. He called for partnership of cabinet members and other appointees whom he described as colleagues. Prince Madumere further sought the cooperation of other arms of the government requesting their partnership to move Imo State forward.
He however wished his immediate predecessor, Sir Jude Agbaso well despite the unpleasant circumstances that saw him out of office.
The event which was greeted by a sea of people despite its short notice, which includes the Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ben Uwajumogu, members of the expanded Exco with Traditional Rulers and other associates, friends and well wishers was colourful.
Meanwhile, the Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha OON in his remark said the new Deputy Governor Prince Eze Madumere MFR emerged for his belief in selfless service and sacrifices for which Rescue Mission Government is known. He encourages the newly sworn-in Deputy Governor to remain resolute in the path of honour. He reminded him that he will succeed when he thinks less of self.
He however reiterated his confidence in prince Madumere as he is an apostle of Rescue Mission Agenda while maintaining that his administration is human oriented and reaching out to the down-trodden and less privileged ones. He wished the erstwhile Deputy Governor well in his future endearvour.
