WORLD EXCLUSIVE: PRESIDENCY, INEC BEHIND IMPOSTOR APC

*Confusion in INEC over APC
*Impostor APC claims it has obtained registration
*INEC insists no party has been registered as APC
*INEC Director fingered as inside Agent
inecThe hurriedly put together press briefing held by the association called African Peoples Congress yesterday in Abuja is the product of a conspiracy between a top INEC official and the PDP aimed at pre-empting the decision of the commission on the confusion over the APC acronym. Inside sources from INEC revealed that against the position of INEC that no party has been registered with the name APC, the promoters of the African People’s Congress at the behest of a senior female INEC official and a senior Presidential aide went ahead to hold a press briefing announcing that with the successful completion of the process for registration they are now ready to commence the task of rebuilding Nigeria. The fake APC also purportedly unveiled their logo, constitution and manifesto and the opening of a national secretariat.
There are indications from within INEC that senior officers are questioning the entire process of the receipt and processing of the letter of intent submitted by the association in the first instance. In the first place, the application by the African People Congress to form a political party was faulty in every material particular and ought not to have been received or even entertained by the Commission.
First, an individual or a lawyer cannot apply for registration of a political party. Thus, the application of the African Peoples Congress to form a political party ought not to have been received or even entertained by the Commission, according to an official of INEC.
However, the acceptance of their letter was made possible by a female director within INEC who has vowed to work tirelessly to stop the opposition APC from getting registered.
The speed and ease with which the impostor African People’s Congress, APC has moved with INEC since the letter submitted by a lawyer from a fake Legal World Chambers applying for approval to register a faceless and officeless party has been made possible due to active inside connivance from within the top hierarchy of INEC. We have it on good authority that a senior INEC official in the PPM&L alongside a few others deep inside INEC have been tapped by the Presidency to work to register at all cost the African Peoples Congress all in an effort to frustrate the merger plans of the opposition parties.
INEC’S collusion is deep, aided by the Presidency where a very senior aide and confidant of the President is in constant touch with the top INEC officials to do all that is necessary to register the African People’s Congress. The Presidential aide who is also from the same geo-political zone as the President and a very senior member of the PDP Board of Trustees have continued to push and pile undue pressure on a few senior INEC officials to force through the registration of APC and where possible promote confusion by sponsoring other groups to apply for registration using the same party acronym, APC.
The story of how an association that only sent a letter of intent to INEC on February 28th, 2013 through a fake office address could exactly 2 weeks later hold a press briefing announcing to the world that it has fulfilled all registration procedures and going ahead to announce itself as a national party is depicts the level of corruption in INEC. It remains the fastest formation of a party in Nigeria or anywhere for that matter.
An inside source within INEC decried what is happening as a gross violation of INEC laws and a mockery of their procedures which will eventually erode the commission’s claim to impartiality. This has elicited loud complaints by some senior INEC officials who insist that in this instance a lot of irregularities are being perpetrated and condoned by INEC all for the sake of a mere association. Even though some INEC top officials are threading the path to protect the Commission’s integrity, the inside job by the senior INEC official continues to make this a difficult task.
The promoters of the African Peoples Congress seeing that their game has been exposed and credibility damaged moved quickly to put together a hasty press briefing in which they lied to Nigerians and the world that they had been registered. The same senior INEC staff aiding and abetting the irregularities is said to have advised the promoters to submit new applications for party registration with the same acronym, APC. Consequently, INEC has quietly received two other applications from Integrity Chambers dated March 5, 2013, asking for party registration for All Progressives Congress, APC, and another from All Patriotic Citizens, APC, dated MARCH 8, 2913 asking for registration from INEC. All of these is aimed at causing confusion and frustrating the opposition APC from being registered.
