EFCC Arrests Impeached Deputy Governor Of Taraba State

Operatives of the Economic And Financial Crimes Commission have arrested former Taraba State deputy governor, Alhaji  Sanni Abubakar Danladi over allegation of corruption, abuse of office and fraud.
Mr. Danladi  was picked up on wednesday over myriads of allegations  relating to diversion of public funds meant for the Millennium Development Goals (MDG) projects. He reportedly spent the funds to establish a private school, Yagai Academy. The school is estimated to be worth N1.3billion.
Danladi was still being interrogated by operatives of the EFCC at their Abuja office.
Danladi Abubakar was impeached last October by the Taraba state house of assembly presumably on the orders of then governor, Danbaba Suntai. However, Mr. Suntai was involved in a near fatal plane crash a few weeks after Mr. Danladi's impeachment and remains hospitalized in Germany after suffering brain damage.
