There is excite in various cities across Nigeria following the citing of the partial eclipse of the sun.
Shoppers around Ikeja City Mall expressed excitement at the sight of the partial eclipse.
Many people around were seen outside the mall with excitement taking pictures of the eclipse.
The partial eclipse was sighted at the mall at exactly 2:43pm and lasted till 2: 52pm, Sunday 3rd November.
However, there were a few people with sun glasses and many were watching without sun glasses while they took pictures of the partial eclipse.
Dr. Ololade Onasanya who was at the mall said, "I'm still waiting for the total eclipse because this one is like eclipse of d sky as if it's about to rain."
As earlier predicted that there will be eclipse of the sun, the eclipse occured in Kogi, Lagos, Shaki in Oyo and Ibadan.
While it was mild in Lagos, it is high in Kogi.
Daily times had earlier reported that the timings predicted by Professor Felix Okpara for the eclipse to begin and end.
Eclipse was also experienced in Garden city Port Harcourt, Kano and Nsuka.
Also, in Ile-Ife, Osun State, the eclipse became glarring around 02.40.
Abia state indigenes are already catching the fun of viewing the predicted partial solar eclipse by the Nigeria Space Research And Development Agency (NASDRA).
Speaking exclusively with Daily Times, Dr. Uche Kanu from Ndoro, Oboro in Ikwuano Local Governement Area of Abia State said: "I've seen the eclipse here. I'm sighting it from my house, it has covered half of the sun and the cloud is passing through as usual. I saw it at exactly 1:05pm.
"Others are watching with me too and are really excited about it. It's fun."
The solar eclipse has been the centre of attention in history even though, it is linked to many myths and traditions; it is still a special occasion for eclipse enthusiasts all over the world.
