Ribery out of Dortmund clash

Ribery
Bayern Munich will have to make do without the services of Ballon d’Or candidate Franck Ribery for Saturday’s top-of-the-table Bundesliga clash with Borussia Dortmund.
According to Skysports, the  Frenchman has been ruled out of Saturday evening’s game in Dortmund with an injury he picked up while on international duty on Tuesday.
The 30-year-old has a rib fracture and is also a doubt for Bayern’s Champions League clash with CSKA Moscow next Wednesday.
“Of course it’s bitter because I would have loved to have been part of the top game in Dortmund, but I’m sure the team will win it even without me this time,” said the Frenchman on the Bundesliga club’s website.
Bayern have not lost any of their last 37 league matches, although with Ribery in their side, that run extends to 41 matches without defeat.
He is just the latest player to be ruled out of the match with an injury suffered on international duty.
Dortmund lost Mats Hummels and Marcel Schmelzer to injuries suffered while playing for Germany against England, meaning they are without their entire back from four last season, with Neven Subotic and Lukasz Piszczek already on the sidelines.
