Nigeria2015: North Central will support Jonathan, David Mark says

Senator David Mark
The Senate President, David Mark, has pledged the support of the North Central zone of PDP to President Goodluck Jonathan in the 2015 presidential election.
Mr. Mark made the pledge during the `Unity Rally` of the North Central zone of the party in Minna on Saturday.
He said, “We are here today to assure Mr. President that we are solidly behind him; we will go with the leader who has brought us good luck.
“The leader who has brought good luck to Nigerians; the leader who has made a lot of sacrifice to lead this country by example.
“We in the North Central zone of the PDP, when we say yes, it will remain yes, come rain, come sunshine. I can vouch for my people. When we say yes; it is yes.’’
He urged Nigerians to disregard the allegations of non-performance made by the All Progressives Congress, APC, against the PDP, saying they were “all lies and cheap blackmail.’’
According to the Senate president, PDP has done well in the country through the transformation agenda of President Jonathan which aims at making the country self-reliant in all spheres of life.
On his part, the Chairman of the PDP Board of Trustees, Tony Anenih, urged Nigerians to appreciate the good work Mr. Jonathan was doing and to continue to support the Jonathan-led administration for a better country.
Mr. Anenih said that PDP organised the rally to ensure unity among its members in the zone.
He said that it was not a campaign rally as the party would still return to the people in the next six months to ask for their votes.
