Oghenechovwen Advises Outgoing Corps Members On future Career

THE state Commissioner for Water Resources Development, Dr. Chris Oghenechovwen has urged the 2012 Batch B youth corps members that served in his ministry to engage themselves in profitable ventures that would add meaning to their life.
Oghenechovwen who gave the advice during a send off ceremony that his ministry organized for the 15 youth corps members, said that the advice had become necessary as it would enable them (the outgoing corps members) to face the challenges in life.
He disclosed that the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) was a veritable platform for those who passed through the scheme to build and strengthen their careers in life, pointing out that the outgoing corps members should be resourceful, creative and enterprising in order to position themselves for success in life.
“For those of you who are academically inclined, you should go and start your Masters Programme immediately if you do not have job instead of wasting your precious time doing nothing”, the Commissioner stated while wishing them (the outgoing corps members) success in their future endeavours.
In his remarks during the ceremony, the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Barrister Hyacinth Osuhor enjoined the outgoing youth corps members to always prepare for tomorrow, adding that they should learn to do something that would positively distinguish them in life.
Osuhor,  who implored them to always be humble wherever they may be, said that they should start doing something that would positively transform their life instead of depending on their parents for everything in life, even as he stressed the need for them to shun criminality in all its ramifications.
Responding on behalf of his colleagues, Mr. Henry Obidiugwu thanked the Ministry of Water Resources Development and the Delta State government for the opportunity given to them to serve in the state.
