PDP Condemns Attack On Emir Of Kano

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has condemned last Saturday's attack on the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero, describing it as a sacrilegious assault on the respected traditional institution.
A violent attack on the Emir’s party as he returned to his palace from a worship service resulted in the loss of his driver and some guards.
The PDP National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh expressed the party’s deep sadness over the wave of attacks in the country, and urged those behind the dastardly acts to have a rethink.
It commiserated with the families of the deceased as well as others that have been killed in similar attacks in the country, stating that there is no justification for bloodletting.
The party called on Nigerians to learn to live harmoniously with one another adding that those who have grievances of any kind should seek legitimate means of getting redress instead of resorting to violence.
PDP also urged the security agencies to rise to the occasion and ensure that those behind the attack on the Emir and other Nigerians are brought to book.
It also urged the Emir not to give up in his selfless contributions to the state and the nation in general.
